Monday, November 5th, 2012

It has been a while since I posted last.  I have been very busy marketing my book.  However in my quest to market my book, I have found a great new little app that I want to tell you about.  It is called Internet Marketing ToGo.  This Android App (It will soon be available for Apple) helps you market your site anywhere and anytime.  The idea behind this app is to help you create lots of backlinks so that Google ranks you higher.

Check it out.   I have seen it on both Google Play and Amazon App Store and it costs only $1.99    Google Play

Video Distribution Sites

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Video distribution sites help reduce the time it takes to distribute your videos all over the internet.  The two I want to highlight are Tubemogul.com which is free and Heyspread.com which is a paid service.

http://www.tubemogul.com/

This is a free service to help distribute your videos across the internet.  They also have a premium paid services for people wanting advanced features.

 http://heyspread.com/

This is a paid service similar to Tube Mogul but is a paid service and offers a little different solution.

You Don’t Need an Expensive Video Camera to Create YouTube Videos

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Recently, I just bought a Kodak Zi8.  It is one of those small HD video cameras that takes very good quality videos.  I paid about $150 for the camera.  The reason that I selected this over the Flip and a few others was two things.  The price and the fact it has an external microphone jack.  If you want any kind of decent quality sound you need to use a video camera that you can plug a microphone into because the built-in microphone does not work well.

YouTube Annotations-Things to Include In A Youtube Video – Part 3

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

A real nice YouTube feature I have started to utilize is the “Annotations” feature. It allows you to add links in your video to either your channel or another video (you can see the power of this).  The only drawback (it is a security feature) is that you cannot create a link that goes outside of YouTube.  You can find excellent help on Youtube that will guide you through the process.

YouTube -Things to Include In A Youtube Video – Part 2

Monday, June 14th, 2010

I mentioned in a previous blog that you should stick your URL everywhere.  That includes embedding it in your YouTube videos.  If you are doing PowerPoint presentation videos, put them at the top of every slide.  If you are in front of the camera, you can use a free program like Windows Movie Maker, which is included with Windows, to add your URL into your videos.  This will not only make sure you get credit for the video, it will also direct visitors to your site.

Youtube – 4 Things to Include In A Youtube Video – Part 1

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Today I am going to talk a little more about YouTube videos.  There are a few elements that are always important to make sure you have included when uploading a new YouTube Video.

These elements are:

  • A Good Title (make sure it has at least 1 keyword in it)

  • Tags (which are your keywords)

  • A keyword rich description (don’t get too carried away)

  • Your URL as the first word in your description

  •

The better you get at adding these elements to your videos the more exposure they will get.

    Thursday, June 10th, 2010

I have found and have been using a wonderful free program to take PowerPoint presentations, add audio to it and create a file that YouTube will accept.  The program is called CamStudio which can be found at http://camstudio.org .  You can check out an example of this at:  http://www.youtube.com/v/B_hsMFgxZEc .

    URL: Add Your Link Everywhere

    Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

The other day I decided to run a Google search on my weight loss site’s URL.  What I found was very interesting.  I found some of my YouTube Videos and blog post on other sites with no link backs, other than the ones I embedded into the video and blog posts   Now, with that said, it is important to make sure that the URL to your blog or website is embedded into all of your videos, posts and any content you put out onto the web.
