Is Your Blog Simple?

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Let’s look at a few things.

Google is a multi-billion dollar company. They made that from a very simple web page that my 10 year old could design.  The complexity is not seen and is on the back end, in other words, the complexity is kept from the user.

The iPod is a simple with its complexity kept from the user.

Twitter is simple and once again the complexity is kept from the user on the back end.

Get the idea.  Therefore, as you create your blog, site or products, create them with simplicity for your readers/prospects, if you desire success.  Remember that the billion dollar internet companies are simple. What about you? Are you simplifying things or making them complicated?

Most blogs have a default service that will automatically let the word out about your new blog posts. This is called “pinging.”

If you are using a WordPress powered blog you can log into the administration console and go to “Settings” and then “Writings”.  Under the “Update Services” section add the pinging services listed below.  This should allow your blog to be seen by more potential readers.
