How Long Should Your Blog Be?

There is no set length for your Blog.  However, I have found that I personally, rarely read a long blog post.  I want to read a blog post that is short and to the point.  So I do my best to keep them under 150 words as a rule of thumb.  I have heard some expert say to keep it under 300 words.  So, I will just say to keep it anywhere from 30 words to 300 words.


Over the long holiday weekend, I will talk about what constitutes a blog post. In other words, what can go into a blog post?



How Much Should You Blog?

Yesterday I talked about the need for a blog.  Now I would like to talk about how much you should post. I am finding that if you want more traffic to your blog, you need to post more. So my rule of thumb is that you should post at least 5 days during the week.  I like to post Monday through Friday.

One of the first things I did when I created my weight loss site was to create a blog.  The interesting thing was that my blog was quickly picked up by Google.  So I would say that you can have a website but to have a successful web presence you need to have a blog.  Google appeared to put a high value on it. 

Starting Over With Web Marketing

Over the years, I have had very good success at web marketing on a local level for both Dicomp and other small local businesses.  However, a few months ago I started to market my weight loss site  and my weight loss blog  at an international level.  This is proving to be a fun challenge.  The weight loss market is huge but so is the competition, but I have a plan.  I will also use this blog to map out my journey to the top.  Together we will see what works and what doesn’t work, and we can grow together.
